Fall Foot Care

It seems that everyone starts to worry about how their feet look in the summertime, when the shoe stores begin displaying strappy sandals. As summer ends, feet still need pampering!

Here are some of the things that you can do:

  • You need to start by using a foot file to remove any dry, hard, calloused skin before you take a bath or a shower. Make sure to pay particular attention to your heels and the balls of your feet.
  • Use special foot cream to moisturize your feet each day. These will hydrate your dry, thick skin and stop your heels from cracking.
  • Make sure to wear various heights of heels so that you can keep your calf muscles flexible. It is also a good idea to use padded insoles to cushion the balls of your feet.
  • Whenever you wear sandals, make sure to apply sunscreen to your feet. They are perfectly angled to get most of the sun’s damaging rays.
  • Take time to soak your feet each week in water that contains some peppermint, cypress, lavender, pine, frankincense, or tea tree oil. You may also want to add a couple tablespoons of powdered milk too.
  • Keep your toes well-manicured if you like wearing nail polish on them.
  • Treat yourself to a pedicure at the end of the summer. This will help with any summer time wear and tear on feet and nails

These tips will keep feet pretty and beautiful year round. When summer rolls around again, feet will be ready for those strappy sandals.

Perfume Hints

Fragrances often reflect a person’s mood and personality. Fragrances will smell different from one person to another. It is important to remember that a fragrance reacts differently according to each person’s chemical makeup.

If you are trying to pick out a new perfume, here are some tips to help out:

  • When you test a perfume in a store, wait 10 minutes to allow the fragrance to react to your body chemistry before purchasing it. Be sure to smell it when you first apply it as well as after you have waited the 10 minutes.
  • Only try on three or four perfumes at one time so that you don’t you will overwhelm your olfactory senses, causing you not to be able to tell one perfume from the other.
  • If you are concerned about having an allergic reaction, you should wait about an hour after you sample the perfume before purchasing it.

Make sure to only apply your perfume on your skin or hair. This is because some fragrances may cause discoloration on certain fabrics. If you really want to spray it on your clothing, make sure to test it on a hidden area first. Be extra careful if you are wearing either a piece of delicate or “dry clean only” clothing.

It is a good idea to change your fragrance for each season. Wear lighter scents during the summer and stronger scents during the winter. The coolness and the warmness of your skin will affect fragrance and your favorite perfume will often smell different from one season to the next.

Keep your perfume in a cool, dark place so that it will stay fresh. You can even keep it in your refrigerator and then simply have a cool splash before leaving for the day. This will feel extra good in the summer.

Bringing Out Your Beauty

Beauty is important if you want to get noticed. Beauty can mean one or more of the following:

  • Cute
  • Smart
  • Gorgeous
  • Kind-hearted
  • Handsome
  • Sexy
  • Stylish
  • Fit

People generally want to be thought of as being beautiful and be with someone they consider beautiful.

In order to be beautifully you must take care of yourself. This does not mean that you are going to have to take a lot of time to do this. It can simply be that all you need to do is to take proper care of yourself.

Here are some of the ways in which you can go about doing this:

  • Drink 8 to 12 glasses of water daily. This will help you to eat less and thus be in better shape. Try to do this regularly by keeping a water bottle with you.
  • Eat a balanced diet that is rich in carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals.
  • Eat less calories and more nutrients, which are necessary to keep you healthy and beautiful.
  • Keep the temperature in your room moderate and use a humidifier to keep your skin from becoming dry.
  • It is a good idea to take a long shower, as this will automatically remove the dead skin from your body. However, you do not want to rub your body with your towel, but be gentle on your skin instead and thus pat it dry.
  • Whenever you go out in the sun make sure that, you wear your sunscreen so that you do not get sunburn. Even a minor sunburn can detract from your beauty, now and in the years to come.

Take care of yourself to meet the optimal levels of your individual and unique beauty.

Eye Make-Up Basics

Eyes are the windows to the soul because they are very communicative. They are what give your face energy and individuality. It is important to know eye make-up basics, so the eyes reflect your true beauty.

Here is some basic information on eye make-up:

Eyeliner-this eye make-up is meant to define your eyes and not be the focal point of your makeup. These are available in various colors and forms.Whatever you choose, make sure that it looks natural, which is why you should choose either black or brown in a fine line.If your pencil is too soft, put it in the refrigerator for a bit.On the other hand, if they are too hard you can soften them by holding them between your fingers.

Eye shadow- is meant to highlight and define your eyes. It is used to create depth so you will need to find what works for you. A simple tip to remember is that a dark color on your eye lid will make your eye appear smaller, while a lighter color will make it look larger.

Mascara-this eye make-up is used to frame your eyes and make your face come alive. It softly accentuates the eyes while thickening and darkening the lashes. It should be your eyes finishing touch. You can choose from several different types of mascara, including thickening, waterproof (do not wear this for extended periods of time or it will dry out your lashes) and even smudge proof. Match the color of your eyebrows or slightly darker.

Before going to bed, always remove all eye make-up. Using make-up remover made for eyes will assure your eyes will not become irritated.

Beginning Fitness

Part of looking beautiful has to do with your fitness routine. While there is always new equipment being released, it does not mean that this equipment will be better. So, instead of looking for new ways to work out, you should stick with the tried and true ways that have been proven to give results. Here are five helpful hints that will help you get started being both healthier and fitter:

  1. Make sure that you allot a specific time in your schedule for exercise so that you do not get distracted. However, when you mark down a time for exercise in your daily planner, it will be harder to come up with an excuse not to do it.
  2. Make sure that you stretch so that you do not pull a muscle or have an injury.
  3. You should make sure to do some weight training. Slowly add resistance with the use of resistance bands or your own body weight. By doing this you not only build up your muscles but firm them up as well.
  4. It is important to understand that your body does well at adapting to situations. For this reason, you want to shake up your training routine some. This will keep your muscles from becoming accustomed to any one particular type of exercise. This will help your body get in better shape and keep you from getting bored.
  5. Take the time to exercise your entire mid-section, which includes your abs, back and sides. A Pilates class or a Swiss ball will work great for thinning your middle, getting rid of your love handles and strengthening your back.

Being fit adds to everyone’s beauty.
