Born in Canada in 1878, Elizabeth Arden worked as a nurse for much of her young adult life. While working with various medicinal creams and skin salves she had the idea to create special beauty creams. Elizabeth Arden turned her home kitchen into a beauty laboratory. Having no luck, she left Canada in 1908 for New York in search of success. After meeting a well-trained chemist, she developed a full line-up of beauty creams and perfumes.

Blue Glass, designed in 1934, is one of Elizabeth Arden’s oldest and best fragrances. Developed as a romantic scent, Blue Grass uses aromas of fresh cut flowers, spices and different woods for a well crafted and lavish perfume.
