It seems that everyone starts to worry about how their feet look in the summertime, when the shoe stores begin displaying strappy sandals. As summer ends, feet still need pampering!
Here are some of the things that you can do:
- You need to start by using a foot file to remove any dry, hard, calloused skin before you take a bath or a shower. Make sure to pay particular attention to your heels and the balls of your feet.
- Use special foot cream to moisturize your feet each day. These will hydrate your dry, thick skin and stop your heels from cracking.
- Make sure to wear various heights of heels so that you can keep your calf muscles flexible. It is also a good idea to use padded insoles to cushion the balls of your feet.
- Whenever you wear sandals, make sure to apply sunscreen to your feet. They are perfectly angled to get most of the sun’s damaging rays.
- Take time to soak your feet each week in water that contains some peppermint, cypress, lavender, pine, frankincense, or tea tree oil. You may also want to add a couple tablespoons of powdered milk too.
- Keep your toes well-manicured if you like wearing nail polish on them.
- Treat yourself to a pedicure at the end of the summer. This will help with any summer time wear and tear on feet and nails
These tips will keep feet pretty and beautiful year round. When summer rolls around again, feet will be ready for those strappy sandals.
