Award winning men’s fashion designer John Varvatos has released a new fragrance for 2009. Varvatos, who has released a handful of fragrances to date, has named his latest fragrance “Artisan”.

To develop the scent for Artisan, Varvatos combined his talents with Rodrigo Flores-Roux. Fores-Roux, who works for the Givaudan fragrance company, has worked with Varvatos in the past to create exquisite scents.

Varvatos, the Michigan native whose family is from Greece, will release the fragrance with help from JV Fragrances and Skincare. While stores in the United States will receive the fragrance in the first half of 2009, it may take a few more months for the fragrance to make it to the international scene.

The scent of Artisan features an herbal and citrus blend with a hint of floral notes. The result is a manly yet contemporary fragrance that is sure to be a hit in the industry. Although it is different from almost every fragrance on the market, its timeless scent should make it popular with those both young and old.
