Reese Witherspoon to Launch Perfume

Sunday, June 14th, 2009

Actress Reese Witherspoon has been an ambassador for Avon for the past two years. This November, she will take it to a new level as the celeb gets her first fragrance.

Reese’s perfume is named “In Bloom.” The floral scent features notes of gardenia, magnolia and jasmine, along with Georgia Peach, according to Women’s Wear Daily and People.com.

“In developing In Bloom, I found myself drawn to the scents of my childhood in Tennessee,” explains Reese.

“We had a great big magnolia tree in the back yard, and it’s that beautiful white blossom that inspired the perfume.”

Like most Avon perfumes, it will be affordable. The launch will feature a limited-edition parfum in a gift box, with a bottle charm of Witherspoon’s monogram, for $59 USD. The regular Eau de Parfum will be priced at $34. The collection will also include bath and body products such as body mist, body lotion and shower gel.

Many celebrities continue to announce fragrance launches. Queen Latifah’s new perfume “Queen” will hit the shelves in September.

The company is the same company that did Paris Hilton’s perfume and they just did a deal with Jay-Z, Queen Latifah recently told the press.

They approached me about developing a scent and I thought if I could create something that is unique to me and special enough for women to want to wear it and maybe some guys, then I will be very happy with that.”

Claudia Schiffer – Face of Ferretti

Wednesday, June 10th, 2009

Claudia Schiffer has teamed up with Elizabeth Arden and Alberta Ferretti to launch Ferretti’s first signature fragrance. The famous model will be the face for the fragrance’s marketing campaign.

We believe we have created a fragrance that expresses the brand values which emanate from Alberta’s rich creative experience. It was important that we stay true to those values in selecting a face for this sophisticated new fragrance. In Claudia Schiffer we have found an ideal visual representation for the brand, says Ron Rolleston, Executive Vice President, Global Marketing at Elizabeth Arden.

It’s an honour to be chosen as the face of the Alberta Ferretti fragrance. Alberta and I have worked together for many years and it’s wonderful to be able to collaborate on this exciting project together. Alberta’s designs always embody femininity and elegance which are reflected in this fragrance. stated Claudia Schiffer.

Claudia is a beauty icon and a woman whose sensuality comes from her unique and inimitable personality. Possessing awareness and strength, she expresses the qualities that every woman desires. Claudia represents the woman for whom my fashion and fragrance is designed. says Alberta Ferretti.

This fragrance will hit the stores in Europe in the Fall 2009. Alberta Ferretti is one of many fashion designers who have crossed over into fragrance. Everyone from Alexander McQueen to Giorgio Armani has fragrances available.
