When Gucci purchased Yves Saint Laurent, Ford took over direction of that line as well, before stepping down in 2004. Tom Ford launched his eponymous beauty and fragrance brand in 2006 in conjunction with Estee Lauder. The first Tom Ford fragrance was Tom Ford Black Orchid, launched in 2006. Subsequent Tom Ford fragrances include the Tom Ford Private Collection of 12 fragrances, Tom Ford for Men, White Patchouli and Grey Vetiver.
