An easy way to look about five pounds thinner is to be conscious of posture. It is a simple way to look more beautiful and self-confident.
Especially with a job or lifestyle that includes sitting, it is easy to develop a relaxed posture. A relaxed posture includes the following:
- Protruding stomach
- Hunched shoulders
- Sunken chest
- Drooped head
- Uneven gate
To improve posture and stance, start with the head. Have chin up and look horizontal to the ground. Be sure that jaw is relaxed. Next, move down to the shoulders and evaluate. First, relax the shoulders and then hold them back. If you have had relaxed posture for a while, you will feel the pull on the muscles. Then check the torso. Hold it straight, making sure that the spine is straight. The stomach should be held in and breathing done deep in the chest and not the stomach. As the muscles strengthen, the stomach will have a flatter appearance. Tighten the buttocks. While walking, take natural steps that land nearly in front of the previous step.
At first, good posture may be uncomfortable and your muscles will feel it. In time, your stomach will develop stronger muscles, your legs will be more toned, and your buttocks will become firmer. After time, you won’t even have to think about good posture.
Be conscious of posture when sitting. It will encourage the body to naturally maintain good posture that will increase body tone. Proper posture adds to everyone’s beauty.
